Campgrounds along the Trans-Lab
If you guys could, name me some good campgrounds along the Trans-Lab. Showers would be nice. I guess we will be staying in or around the towns along the way, but maybe not! Thanks!

On the Northern Peninsula of the island portion of your trip my favorite camp is at River Of Ponds campgrounds. Cheap, clean, showers, laundromat. On the south coast of Labrador Pinware Provincial Park has showers.
Churchill Falls has none but you are welcomed to set up on the church lawn across the road from the company store/school/library/swimming pool complex. Free showers there. Take the tour of the underground generating plant and they pick you up at this company building. There is no law against camping any where you wish on crown land and beaches are abundant. Ask any local.

There is one outside Lab City and one outside Goose Bay but i have been to neither. The rest is open country.

camps
This one was great. Very nice people and facilities. Just outside Goose Bay.
![]() This one is a former provincial park near Lab City. It is pretty run down. No showers or bathrooms but cheap. The owner charged us ten buck for two tents. It is mostly populated by workers living in 5th. wheel trailers.

You can camp in Lab. City at the water tower... No showers though.
![]() There is also a provincial park about 50 miles or so, before the Blanc Sabon ferry crossing. It is a real nice spot. I stayed there as well. "Pinware", I think. |
