I lived in McCall Idaho for 5 years with a 100 yard long driveway and didn't pay to have it plowed in a cabin without running water...that's right to the outhouse at 15 below @ 2 am. My snowblower broke down during a storm that dumped 72", then 60" the following week.

Keep talkin'

Happy New Year Bro!

For a cheapie quick fix, use bigger handguards and you can also put strips of thick electrical tape kinda "zebra fashion" over your levers. This will keep your fingers off the cold aluminum. It's an oldie, but a goodie.

On a serious note. I just tried something similar to what Gordy mentioned. The other week I noticed that my pointer fingers, which stay on my levers at all times, kept going numb from contact with the cold metal. Before I left last week I coated my levers with a couple layers of that spray-on rubber. Worked great.

Plastic dip would probably be better, but I was too lazy to pull my levers off.

Btw - Sucks that Moab didn't work out this time. Raincheck for the next month or so?

RideFreak - Love the vids The roostcam is a cool perspective. Hopefully you don't mind me "borrowing" that concept?

Thanks again to all you guys for the local hospitality and great riding. You guys have some fun trail and great riders down there. Exactly what I needed for a vacation.

Now we need to get you up this way come summer?
