Got in a quick 35 miles on Monday morn. Snow made it.. interesting.

Melted off quite a bit by mid-day though.

Shit.. you really are from Idaho.

On a serious note. I just tried something similar to what Gordy mentioned. The other week I noticed that my pointer fingers, which stay on my levers at all times, kept going numb from contact with the cold metal. Before I left last week I coated my levers with a couple layers of that spray-on rubber. Worked great.

Plastic dip would probably be better, but I was too lazy to pull my levers off.

Btw - Sucks that Moab didn't work out this time. Raincheck for the next month or so?

Hopefully this melts soon, I wanna go back or be where it's warm and cozy with mtn. biking and moto riding as far as the eye can see!

Great idea with the rubber! How do you keep your right finger on the front brake all of the time [(I do that on my mtn. bike as well (yep moto brakes)].

I wanna ride as much as possible this winter and I have much more schedule flexibility than the summer, so hopefully we can meet up.

Chris! Sorry I missed this ride. Really like the rear cam footage.

Glad that some of our NM riders could show you colorado folk around the Puerco.

Just have my levers angled a little down and the finger rests and slides over the lever as I twist. Easy to see here:

Hmmm, 33 degrees for the high on Sunday, not including wind chill. That might help the hand.

We are going to get down there Jan.24-27 to ride. We will probably ride Buckman for a 1/2 day ride on Thursday since we will be driving a 1/2 day. We'll ride Alacalde one day and if we hook up with anyone from Albq. we'll ride your area or West of Rio Rancho.

I probably won't feel it, everything will be numb. Chance of rain though

Well, if mylsmkj isn't going to shovel off Moab for me then I might be down for another NM trip.

I could probably remember just enough of the ABQ stuff to get everyone lost.

Thump,

Hook up with Matt. He said he is probably going to go. We had to cancel Utah since their was to much snow and cold.
