Dylan, I just read this R.R and it left me speechless, so I decided to just type this. Your ability to do road repairs on the Beemer alone make you stand head and shoulders above others on this forum, but building your own boat and sailing around the Darien is just f*&^ing awesome!

Where can I find your Payal info so I can send you a bejamin to help you on your way?

Thanks for being so active in my RR . I liked it when you posted those videos in the RR. I had trouble with my computer keyboard and I couldn't really do too much except posting photos.

Afetr travelling for more than two and half years on my around the world motorcycle tour, I faced a dilemma in Panama. There was no road to continue to the next country, Colombia. So I converted my motorcycle to a Boatercycle using old oil barrels and a propeller connected to the motorcycle engine. I spent six weeks sailing in the Pacific Ocean without ever having been sailing in the ocean. It was quite a risky undertaking. The difficulties I faced while in the ocean were too many. Since motorcycles were not made for the sea, it was breaking down on daily basis. But I struggled on and pushed my limits.
The things I experienced on this crazy adventure was too many and too difficult and too beautiful to put them into words. Here is an unedited version of one of those experiences. I hope you will like it!

Dylan,

I'm blown away by this report. The obstacles you have overcome, and the way you have overcome, is staggering!

It is truly inspirational.

I have to admit, I'm a bit confused now though. Is the report now being done in real time? Do you have your motorcycle or is it on an island somewhere?

I'll be PayPal'ing some support to you ASAP!

Some other boatercycle attempts.

Someone who would run with the concept.

Dylan, that was f%*&ing amazing dude, you truly are one gnarly adventurer.

Most people would have been a statistic by now, just another crazy dude lost at sea, but you pushed it through and made it work. Awesome.

I met John while admiring the old bikes and he offered me his yard to camp for the night. As a motorcycle enthusiast here he proudly presents the jeans he wore when he took part in a tire burnout contest. His pants caught fire from the melted rubber landing on the backside.

This is one un-f@cking-believable RR !!!

sometimes i have to stop reading and look at my sorroundings to ensure that i'm not in some dreamland/movie theatre.

You, my friend are a genuine adventurer and certified nut-case.

hope the small contribution helps you go a few kms further...
