Thanks for all the great places, keep them coming. I'm planning my trips for the up and coming season and this will surely help.

You'll laugh, but Mother's Whole Foods in Bandon, OR does by-the-slice pizza's and has really awesome apple pies in their deli section.

And yes, I left with extra food in my tail bag

And on the east side of the park check out Park Cafe & Grocery "Pie for strength"

In Washington, Clarks in Artic has great burgers and shakes.

In Orygun, Otis Cafe in Otis, can't go wrong with anything they serve.

The Bow Picker in Astoria, best fish-n-chips.

Fat Boys in Oroville WA, just minutes from the WABDR.

Awesome burgers, fries and shakes. Best fries anywhere. Try a vanilla malt shake, you won't be sorry. Did I mention the burgers?

Service is slow but well worth the wait.

Midvale.

Just found a new one two weeks ago -- and I wasn't even on the bike.

On the South end of Midvale, Idaho is a log cabin looking building that says it's an espresso place, doesn't really even indicate that they have breakfast. They do!!

Truck driver friend of mine told me about it. Chicken fried steak and eggs --- be hungry --- be veeerry hungry.

Cruise in country diner.

http://cruiseincountry.com/

All natural food. Grass fed beef and they grown their own potatoes for the fries. Best burger joint I've ever been to.

Located out in the farm lands in Hillsboro, OR.

All Roads lead to Pie in Stanly Idaho

And the LumberJack Saloon on Graves Creek Road (off hwy 12) just a few miles East of Lolo Hot Springs MT.

1 mile of dirt to get there.

Again on the "Be Hungry" theme, I submit Carol's Corner Cafe, in Vancouver, WA.

Although Vancouver certainly does not qualify as a small town, I think the quality, and quantity of the servings merit honorable mention here.

This is a half-order bacon and cheese omelet- yes, half-order.

I never would have believed it, and I know this sounds like heresy, but the omelet actually had too much bacon in it. Impossible? maybe, but it was a lot.

Of course, I ate it anyway.
