It is true that motorcycle mechanics - also here in the States - are rather under-appreciated. We rarely know of any, maybe someone in an independent shop. As a rider, it is more likely that you'll know the salesman or a service manager than a technician. Like Hiroshi Kimura said at mark 4:53, mechanics are seldom "given a chance to come out front".
So, here it is to all the good mechanics, factory and independent. Happy New Year to you all!
