First Ever Road Trip _ Atlanta to Nashville
Ok it's not exactly an Epic adventure but you have to start somewhere. Here's where I started out.
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=849478 Since then I've got a couple thousand miles on the Shadow. My wife went to MSF class, got the MC endorsement on her license about 3 weeks ago, a good friend and ADVRider inmate "Biowil" made me a great deal on a 1999 Suzuki GZ250. (thanks man!) and she got the gear for Christmas. Here we are cleaning the bike for the first time. ![]() So we rode around town and took little jaunts on local back roads but our first trip was last month. We had a few guidelines, good weather, an overnight stay and no interstate highways. Here she is ready to ride out. ![]() Gas Arrival Lunch ![]() ![]() We went out of Atlanta, up through Rome and on to Nashville. Really good riding north of Rome GA around all the civil war battlefields. It was beatiful weather , sunny and warm but with a crosswind. The Harley guys were out in force. I had to do all the waving as she was a not going to let go of the bars in the wind, but for her first time on a bigger highway all was good. We learned alot; my butt hurts after a while on the highway, my navigation is good untill we hit a city then not so much, wind can be tiresome. Downtown Nashville was very very nice and on the ride home we learned to bump up the idle adjustment on the GZ250 when it goes from the highway to stop and go in the city. Next Ride, the beach- Atlanta to Destin FL

Congratulations to your wife for MSF course and the MC endorsement. That trip was a good way to use the new knowledge and gain experience. Happy trails.

Great Ride
Couple out on the road on motorcycles. That's all that matters. Where you go is beside the point. That said I do love Nashville.
