Street Pilot 3 usb data card programmer question
GPS-ignorant slug requesting help. Just bought a used Street Pilot 3 from a guy in the midwest. Plenty of detail in his area, but just shows the major roads in my area (northern California). It came with a usb data card programmer cord, so I plugged the data card into the end of the cord and plugged the other end into the usb port of my PC (has windows 7). Started Map Quest to load the west-coast maps, but the computer isn't recognizing anything in my usb port. Do I need to download some sort of driver software, or ???
Thanks in advance. |

Check this out https://buy.garmin.com/shop/store/as...otIII_spec.pdf
You need map data. You may have a challenge as this unit was discontinued years ago. Your best bet is to see if the person you bought it from has the mapset that he used. From Garmin's site, it's not clear if any of the newer products will work with the SP III,
