I cant seem to print, same problem as described on the previous page with routes from the route library. Tried Chrome and Firefox with no luck. Could well be user error...

Login with Username and password working. Up until now I have been only able to login using google.

Printing problem is still there. Same for both Firefox and Chrome.

I can print fine in Firefox. ONe comment about the print pages section: Could you make the gap between pages a little bigger?

Another comment is that it still prints the RB as one page on my printer settings.

Also when annotating my WP's in the "notes" tab its difficult if not impossible to drag the bottom row of notes up to the right hand column. Maybe its a function of my screen res. Also the notes Font is a little too big IMO.

Keep up the good works guys, this is a great product.

What exactly are you requesting?

"Print roll" should be a continuous print output
"Print" should have page breaks

Might be screen res -
Regarding size of the "notes" font: do you mean the drag and drop FIM Dakar font, or the manually typed turn description font?

Working on it!!!

I mean the gap between pages in this picture below when you choose "print".

Correct, the "print" option have page breaks per the picture above, but its still one page according to MS>

Interestingly on my printer it prints just fine, so am not sure if this is a real issue or not.

My Screen res is 1366 x 768, which I guess is too flat for the bottom row of icons to be dragged up. The weird thing is the window is not 'fitting'. Look at the pic below. I can scroll across and down but there is a big unused gap that rallynavigator does not fill (see marked circles and black space at the bottom of the screen)

To answer your second question, I meant the "drag and drop" FIM Dakar fonts you see above. They default to a size much bigger than the typed font. It should be smaller or the same size I think?

Things seemed to work better for me in Chrome on my laptop than they do now with Firefox.

The "S" for sharp curves is also thin, maybe it needs to be "bold" font.

Its great that you are bringing out a new format, but honestly I think the original one needs to be sorted out. I personally have no desire to clutter up my version of rally navigator with the different column setup, hopefully you have kept the two versions separate and not an option I have choose every time I start a new RB.

That gap is normal, it will be at a page break when sheet printing

Weird - I forwarded this to our developer - its probably tied into a the upcoming Narrow format option.

We will look into it.

We have a couple of fixes coming soon for this. The weird scrolling will go away, we have already shrunk the size of the header (and are going to shrink it a bit more) and footer to open up more screen real estate. We will also be fixing the "Hide Roadbook" function to open up even more screen real estate.

You might try to adjust your browser view to "Full Screen"
this also open up more screen for Navigator.

will put the S curve on the list of fixes.

The Narrow format is a Print output option only - the user interface for creating routes will not change (except for natural evolution)

Some of these recent print bugs are a result of recoding the roadbook so we could more easily change the print outputs between wide and narrow outputs. I've learned with this project: when you try to add 1 new feature you create 2 new bugs.

Most of these buggy things we figure out when we test the software on our staging server - sometimes we get ahead of ourselves and turn loose goofy code on you guys - it will all get sorted out.

Thanks!

You guys are doing a great job!

Too right about creating more bugs with a new feature, I have seen this developing mine planning software as well. Eventually we ended up a with a clunky piece of software that only specialists could operate...I suppose that's the natural progression, a law of entropy for programs

The big thing is to KISS>

Looking forward to the next edition.

Reason for all of the bugs lately....Narrow Format is on the Way!

Inmates:

Here is the reason for all of the goofy behavior lately....

We are making good progress on printing Narrow Format (Dual Sport & Enduro) Roadbooks.

Printed Narrow format should be 2.15 inches wide and 2.25 wide paper (+/-) There are still some layout/formatting changes to get sorted, this isn't the FINAL version (is there ever a final version?)

There was a good amount of recoding involved to vary the print formats, so..lots of buggy behavior.

The user interface for creating Roadbooks won't change aside from normal evolutionary development.

The Narrow format is a print output option only.

Anyway, Steve Jobs would kill me for "leaking" stuff like this. But I figured it was worth an update.

Fingers crossed: we may have a nice working version withing a couple of weeks.

Got the same problem. Just the header of roadbook is shown in the different print format. Tried with IE, FF (different versions), Chrome. Of course a runbook application where you cannot print it is pretty much useless :-/

Mike, I remain available if you need more info or further tests.

Looks fine to me. I prefer the full format but should I use a compact format it would be great!

Narrow Format (Dual Sport) is here + other cool stuff - Check it out.

Inmates:

New features are live right now at Rally Navigator - Check it out and please share feedback or questions.

We have (finally) released our Narrow (Dual Sport) format - This was a much bigger project than I imagined and required some serious recoding of the roadbook (and cause a few bugs along the way)

Users are now able to select Wide or Narrow format in sheet or continuous roll format.

Sheet printing is 3 up and ready for the paper cutter.

Added a "Hide Roadbook" feature that opens up a lot of map space for users.

Improved the Reset to Zero function - Inserts 0.00 mileage in the Waypoint to further clarify the Reset.

Added a "Show or Hide Alternate Distance" feature

Added a page with Pro Rally Testimonials for events that have used Navigator (Thanks to those who had kind words)

It's live right now at Rally Navigator - Check it out and please share feedback or questions.

Thanks,
Mike
