I'll be there Friday at noon. Hope to make a decision on whether I'm buying a new bike or committing to riding mine for a couple more years and buy dirt bikes for the kids instead.. I'm also hoping Mountain Motorrad brings some Kriega stuff to sell. Unless I buy a bike, I need another US10 and US20. Should be a good show!

Wasn't Bad!

More socializing than anything else on Friday. New Beamer GS1200 is awesome. New Husky Terra is nice for $7999. Christiani 2 wheel drive dirt bikes for $10,000. are cool. Yamaha Super Tenere had a neat display. Harleys were boring. A few nice women at Ducati to look at. A Visious Cycle and Twisted Throttle had the most exciting stuff for me. Had a Triumph 800XC all decked out with the latest and greatest do dads. Good fun.

Probably!

Spelled wrong. New dirt bike with TM engine, I think with a special mechanical system for powering the front wheel also. Check it out at the show.

Christini:

Two wheel drive MC. Front drive kicks in if the rear starts to lose tracton.

Any mention if their Dual sport 450 is street legal for Canada?

The show was about average, all the usual stuff for the most part, lots of gear on sale to appeal to the pirate crowd. I checked out a few of the new models in various brands. Lots of temptations if only I had the space to keep them, not to mention the means to aquire them. Liked the new BMW F800GT, (I know, not an adventure bike, but of interest for my wife to trade up from her ST for the increased weather protection) always like the Urals but nowhere to keep one and they just need a bit more HP. Someone needs to Uralize a GS complete with the 2wd. I was looking for a smaller tankbag for my F800GS, but saw nothing that impressed me or that wasn't a magnetic mount. I was sort of dissapointed (again) with the lack of good accessories available for purchase. Value for the dollar: my admission was free as I was helping out at the BMWMOA booth. If I'd had to pay full price, probably not good value when you include the parking. The $15 parking charge is rather greedy.

Have to agree somewhat with Ed about average. Lots of shops not there like Anderwerks ,Performance Cylce and GW cycle, although I did see the owner of GW working the Suzuki booth.
Going with a buddy to share parking costs is the only way to go and pre buying the ticket for 10.00 at Preformance Cycle.
Honda was the clear winner in new products of interest NC500x/s/700x/s, goldwing,CB1100 retro and I wanted to sit on the CRF250L with the 34" seat hieght to see how my 30" inseam would fair, I was surprised how the narrow seat allowed me to at least tip toe it. Found out Kouba makes a 1/3/4" lowering link for it.
The husky 650 terra looks like a great bike.
Mountain Motorrad was great to talk to!
Bought a set of rim protectors from HH Tools and enjoyed talking to the Twisted Throttle people.
Oh ya had a look at the Fred Flinstone bikes also(Victory)
Always a nice winter break to walk around all the bikes
