Need help with Little Snowbird - Beaver Creek connector

I'm going to try here before I post to the Southeast Regional Forum...

I'm doing a solo trip to the NC-TN area in the spring and have a 300 mile adventure loop planned out:

Most of it is on established roads, but there's one bit of bushwacking that's giving me a problem. My version of MapSource does not connect Little Snowbird and Beaver Creek Roads through Porterfield Gap. I can clearly see everything east of the Gap on Google Earth:

but eveything west of the Gap towards Little Snowbird is a mess.

Everything I've read says the road is easy to follow going east to west, but I'm going in the other direction. Does anyone have a track from Little Snowbird to Porterfield Gap or at least a waypoint for the turn up Porterfield Gap Road?

Thanks,
Joe

My City Nav 2013.1 map had a big void thru there as well. What I attached above was a tracklog section from a ride.

Interesting. I checked my version of Roads & Rec, and it shows a void through there.

Is this a "little bike only" kind of trail?

I rode it on a Scream'n Beaver ride a few years ago. All I remember from that section was a regular forest road with large gravel on it.

Porterfield Gap

The road from Little Snowbird to Beaver Creek was improved a couple of years ago. I rode through this NOV and it was big bike friendly. Here is a picture I took there:

I have not seen a map (except Google Earth)\ that shows how these 2 roads connect.
