I'm trying very, very hard to control my covetousness and envy. You're not helping one bit.

been thinkin about this to. wanted a cool bucket seat like in a old airplane or race car but finaly did it like this

dont know what you call the different parts but, I will add som soft stuff on top and fasten the vinyl under the "sit" part which is plywood. screwed to alu profiles connected to the body with 4 screws (use these screws to hold things on corrugated sheet on roofs, they make a pretty strong connection) easy to remove. the "back" part is riveted and I will add some soft stuff with velcro I think. how is it made on "real" hacks?

Claude's one piece just mount behind a aluminum bar bolted to the floor to interlocking with one on bottom of seat.
I also think something like a small tractor seat on a track if it could be mounted low enough would be cool also, who's going riding kids, wife dog ?

Hi, ANKOF,

I hope this is what you were referring to. As far as the proper terminology in English it's very simple: the lower part is the ' seat cushion', or 'seat bottom' or 'bottom pad'. The rear is the ' backrest' and any pads on the sides are called 'bolsters'. Also the word 'bolsters' can apply to almost any padded areas in upholstery other than seats, like door panel bolsters, dash bolster or arm rest bolsters or side bolster etc.

I admire very much the people who have learned the English language even though they did not grow up learning it from being young children. It is surely one of the most difficult languages to learn. You speak it and write it very well!

I don't know? What I read seemed to be a reference to correct terminology or word usage so I tried to give an answer to what seemed to be a sort of question.

I may have misunderstood entirely and he may be a Yank from head to toe. I was just guessing. Either way I do have a lot of resepect for anyone who can speak and write more than one language. I used to but those times are long gone.
