Aye?
+1

Yes for sure... his genius would be wasted at another team... stay with the KTM mother factory Cyril; where they know the difference between a vapour lock and a big end bearing or an electrical fault caused by a bush... and most importantly; how many liters their fuel tanks hold...

As far as I understood the regulations when I read them before the race all the vehicles need to be road legal and have a license registration plate. When the enginegate started, I and a few other inmates spent some time trying to track down the origin of CDPs donor bike using the information on that bikes license plate (visible here: http://doyle.smugmug.com/Other/Dakar...0111-00007.jpg). Should you be able to catch a glimpse of #35 (Thomas Berglund - sadly out due to mechanical withdrawal today) you'll see a swedish armed forces license plate (black background, yellow numbers). If there are bikes rolling without plates I'm guessing that they've lost their plates due to vibrations - wouldn't be the first time a thumper has freed itself of useless scrap metal. ;)

They said it in france 4 and es interviews. And that shot of cyril talking to caselli, just guessing.

But there it is by cyril himself, on his blog.

The Dakar is a race that you must respect until the very finish but it was satisfying to be able to exert some control on today’s stage. Today we were the bosses because we decided something and it worked.

That's

Like son, like father...

Gonna share with you guys a photo taken on a sunday morning ride back here in Portugal.
This is Florival Faria, Ruben´s oldman!
And as you can see, with 66 years old, he is allways "Ready to race!"

Great guy!
