Chavo finally gets through CP1 in 55th place 4'36" off the lead pace. He had a very late start position and will be dealing with a rutty track. Pour on the juice Chavo.

Getting older now and nowhere near fast enough but if I were to do the Malle Moto think before i was 50 then i would consider a engine with DRZ reliability. You can throw it down the road, you can pee in the tank, you can drown it, for 10000 km no service, that would be the way to go.

WOuld it be the most fun? the most nimble ? hell no. But would it reduce your chances of blowing an engine in the middle of nowhere? for sure.

The Iphone App has the map for every stage,, and BTW guys my productivity at the office has droped maybe 45% thanks to the F5 team LOL,, firts time following the DAKAR here,,

Barreda lost 6mins to WP2, then down to +20minutes.
Chaleco going for victory today, Despres is on it. Great day for Goncalves, now in 2nd.
