We are only half way through, i'm not that confidant about his loss of podium yet. let the dust settle a bit and it might be clearer.

Bingo. I spent months on the Altiplano and it kicked the living shit out of me physically. I would gorge myself when I ate but it wasn't always enough b/c I'd be on the bike for 10 hours or more a day at times. It's like your body can't keep up with the demands of converting the limited oxygen to red blood cells. It probably wasn't helping that I was drinking vino tinto like it was going out of style.

Today's stage is bringing back a lot of memories, I loved the riding in this area and Salta is probably my favorite Argentine city.

I couldn't tell from the map if the liasion took them near Paso Sico or not, it looked like the route was north of here.
