Yes that will be his podium, even with these times, his podium looks like it is doubtful.

Another fantastic call by a rookie.

I will get better at this, I promise.

Someone get Bluebull a flatbill hat for the maps he creates.

Definitely some weird and undefined (at least publicly) arrangements on the WC duties this year, but no team in it to win it is going to leave their best hopes unprotected on a marathon stage, at least not intentionally.

Wow, Farres Guell stopped for mechanical as well. Yikes.

We are only half way through, i'm not that confidant about his loss of podium yet. let the dust settle a bit and it might be clearer.
Sorry to see Viladoms stuck, was a great start for him.

Bingo. I spent months on the Altiplano and it kicked the living shit out of me physically. I would gorge myself when I ate but it wasn't always enough b/c I'd be on the bike for 10 hours or more a day at times. It's like your body can't keep up with the demands of converting the limited oxygen to red blood cells. It probably wasn't helping that I was drinking vino tinto like it was going out of style.

Today's stage is bringing back a lot of memories, I loved the riding in this area and Salta is probably my favorite Argentine city.

I couldn't tell from the map if the liasion took them near Paso Sico or not, it looked like the route was north of here.
