It's better for Le Patron to have it stand, he gained 4min in the last sector

3rd stage victory for Joan Barreda in 2013 DAKAR Rally

3rd stage victory for Joan Barreda in 2013 DAKAR Rally

Change of scenery on the Dakar Rally, came the rivers, mountains and weather difficulties that forced decrease the 470 km of the stage to about half.
Spanish from Castellón, on his Husqvarna by Speedbrain has overcome the pain in his damaged right hand and wrist, and since the beginning of the special is activated mode"ON" setting a pace that has led him to first position since the first control points.
From the middle of the special difficulties of navigation in an area where many rivers were crossed have been managed without problems by the Husqvarna rider, increasing
time and differences regarding their pursuers.
Now the race is stopped one day in San Miguel de Tucuman, before tackling the second part of the Rally in Argentina and Chile.

"Satisfied with the stage, came at a good pace from the start that and take Despres, and then I could find quickly step in the area of the river that was complicated.
I had trained this year lots of navigation to solve difficults during the race, and today has happened so.
Physically I'm not fine: I have very swollen right hand , but now we have a day off to recover a little with my osteopath.
Now the goals are differents, but will dispute the second week of the rally in order to get good results and help my team and my teammates. "

Neither, just very tricky navigation that caught most of the front of the pack out.

Riders starting later capitalized, may have even caught a few on the course.

What a great stage!
