Are considered as part of the frame: all parts welded surrounding the engine and supporting the steering column and the mounting points for the rear suspension. The frame and the engine cases, already marked at scrutineering at the start, or all other parts, may at any moment have additional marks added.

2) All fraud noted, and notably the fact of presenting as intact, identification marks that have been retouched, will result in the Disqualification of the rider or team which aided or facilitated the infraction, and that without affecting further sanctions which may be demanded to the national federation of the rider or accomplice.

3) All changes of engine must be indicated to the Clerk of the Course or at the Technical Steward, at 09.00 pm the latest, on pain of a 15’ penalty.

So, this looks like whatever happens, you may only may swap your engine with one of your own spare engines that were marked as yours during scrutineering. You're not allowed to use a competitor's engine.

Seems like the Spanish picked up on this and aren't very happy.
Now _that_ is juicy!

My wife has been a good sport this week. We are heading out for dinner tonight.

Catch up later, I should be back in 15 minutes.

Don't confuse being French with being as asshole.

I'm a big fan of casteu and pain and hope they hand it to cdp with no Vaseline

Cdp IMO embodies the nasty winner syndrome that is almost non existeant in other sports apart from Dakar.

I even rare la higher than cdp - cos he at least doesn't put on those pole us his ass smiles.

Go Yamaha go casteu and pain
I support Casteu and Pain, but youre being a little bit presumptuous there matey.

sneakily changed motors? How do you do that anyway?

I don't understand what I'm seeing on ES1 right now. Supposed to be day 8, but it's some kind of clip show. Amusing, but it ain't the Dakar, dammit!

I'm guessing they're trying to compensate for various delays during the day. We haven't missed anything - I've been watching ES1 since... a couple of hours.
