So has CD's penalty been revoked? I can still see it in the trackingstandings

Exactly why have an Engine change penalty in the first place when you got a built in loophole ?

I suppose it's possible that they'd leave on the liaison in that order, and find some sort of re-seeding has been ordered by the start of the special. Let's hope not, though! They've mucked it up enough in the past two days.
One more stupid question and I will STFU.

Is there a map with moving dots on it to follow along, or do we just have to watch the times on dakar.com, and of course this thread?

Thanks

Dakar doesn't do the moving map tracking like some of the other rallies do.

You can follow timing at dakar.com, but really, the best place is at inmate Misc's site, http://trackingdakar.nl -- it compile everything into a tidy spreadsheet for you.

Despres' motor penalty does seem to be gone from the sheets, but rest assured, it will return. Seems there's some weird stuff going on with penalties coming and going. My guess is it's just a database error on the dakar site and will get corrected at some point.

By the way I fractured my scapula today so I have the week off. It couldn't have come at a better time.
