I believe it is the Mahle OC91 for the BMW boxers. Available from Beemerboneyard.

I'm late to the party here, and i don't use their air filters, but i swear by the K&N OIL filters on all my bikes, race and play!

They have a NUT already on them!!!

They are also pre-drilled for safety wire if that's your thing..

Just a thought.. I will be installing one at my next oil change...

The nuts spin off. Read lots of posts re that.
Especially if the filter was overtightened or the seal under oiled upon installation.
Nothing beats the proper cup wrench properly applied.

You're obviously referring to the one on the filter and NOT the one on the SEAT?

BTW...a gentle tap of the socket onto the NUT helps seat it before attaching the handle.

Hmmmm... I have used these for about 5 years on a Hayabusa, CRB1k track/race bike, and an R6 track/race bike. Probably total of about 25-30 oil changes with them, and NEVER once had a nut come off, fail, or break.. I have had ZERO issues with these.

I always install my oil filters "Hand Tight" and never had one leak or fall off.

Can't test media quality but you can open them and look at the crud and see what kind of filter media and how much is there.

I work on these bikes for a living. And K&N oil filters have caused me nothing but grief over the years.
