Illabot 1-1-13
Turnsleft, WeeMcD, bspf and I met up at Rockport this morning.
It was a busy place with New Years day eagle watchers filling the parking lot. ![]() we rode up the Rockport/Cascade road to the power line's and headed for the Illabot Road ![]() Sauk Mountain was shinning ![]() doesn't look to bad, does it! ![]() well..... ![]() ![]() ![]() Sean thinks the center maybe easier if he can get up there ![]() he made it, looks like further to fall to me ![]() ![]() we got through the worst as we hook up on the Illabot Road ![]() ![]() back down to Hwy 530 ![]() Nice ride, thanks guys for the push ( my bike had a fit and died for awhile) . We stopped for Cascade Burgers in Concrete, carbed up and headed back to the barn.

Cascade Burgers, Concrete. They were open 11-3. The place was very busy.

The middle of the road was easier, but I wasn't able to stay up there long before dropping down into the ruts again. My favorite part of the day was when I was riding Tom's bike with the retired guys pushing me through the snow to bump start it. Tough SOBs I tell ya!
It was a good way to ring in the New Year. Too bad the Steelhead Park worker wasn't happy about us parking in the lot. Apparently, it is only for Seattlites and not for Skagit County residents. He was friendly enough, but his logic is questionable.
