It's purple because of other sources of light. No flash, no colour correction, no alteration. Don't get ya knickers in a twist.
What makes you think a camera records the scene as you see it? A camera tries it's best to make everything 18% grey. Mostly, the effect is over-exposure. So a little bit of correction is generally required.

Maybe I'll just come down there and sort out ya photography...I'm staying clear of your bikes.

Goodonya Chip! Although I'm a dirt guy at heart, I will certainly be taking in some of the road bike sights and sounds.
I'll try and find you Dave

Wahooo. This looks like it needs close inspection. Methinks I'll sneak up for a bit of a spectate.
Thanks for the tipoff, I hadn't seen this promoted anyplace else.

Yep, two sets of Mikunis. But something is a bit strange.
Without going into lots of detail, looks like I'm stuck with the bigger carbs fitted to the smaller reeds.

I also ordered the unavailable jets direct from Mikuni OZ. Thanks for helping me.

Anyway, if it doesn't work, I can probably substitute the XS for the LC. I hope anyway.

It took bloody lots of fiddling and swearing but the 250 is again rideable - had it out yesterday for about 30km, bedding in the pistons & rings. Keeping it on the trickle charger in the meantime.

You'll find me with a bunch from around here - my blue RD250, either the 350LC or the XS11. Should also be an RZ350, SR500, XS650, GS1000S, twin cam 750/4, CR750 replica, maybe a green frame 750SS and a 900SS (from WA) and, whatever anybody else can fit in their trailers to bring along too.

I'll keep an eye out for Chip and the bevel, Guzzi & rhonda.

Precis & the Monza & Duke.

Really looking forward to it
I've booked and paid & the ticket etc. turned up a few days ago.

I will be riding down on this with my camping gear and also letting it loose on the road race track where I will most likely get to suck on Tripod's 2 stroke fumes .

Will be leaving Albury sometime on Friday morning and plan on taking the Whitfield/Mansfield Rd over to Mansfield then down through Yea and Strath Creek to Broadford.

What size is the PE?
I had an IT250 years ago and have often thought about getting another one but I keep telling myself that it would be a bad idea.
Would be a lot of fun though especially at some thing like Broadford.

I'll be there, most likely with 1977 Yamaha DT125. I plan to actually take some time having a good look around this year, instead of just riding all day.

Some press releases about HBBB in this thread: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=870709

Change of plan: no Guzzis, no Ducatis, no overnight stay & partying for us it seems some fencing takes priority ...

Better involving bloody big swords...

Prolly ride through on Saturdee for a sticky.

No, not at the moment but thanks for the offer
But who knows maybe after I have watched a few roar around the track down at Broadford I might change my mind.
