Wayne Rooney is Manchester United's 3rd highest scorer in all competitions and he scores at a better rate than Bobby Charlton and George Best. Huh.
197 penalties, thats a ton!

No kidding. Although it's hard to tell if they threw the game or not. The ball rarely left their half.

Barca fans probably didn't mind when the club was big mouthing Jose Mourinho. No class by a club that prides itself on it, but hypocrisy is the human condition.

But now that the club is bad mouthing Pep Guardiola, they're not so happy. Good.

The club is arrogant and needs to be taken down a peg or two.

USA C team struggled with Cuba, things only got better when they brought on some B team players.

But Chris Wondolowski is making people notice him. All he's doing is score goals. 5 goals in the Gold Cup and 6 goals in his last three matches. Apparently he's a prolific scorer in MLS (I don't follow the league) and now he may be elbowing his way onto the USA first team. With Altidore also discovering how to score goals for USA, Klinsmann has a happy problem at center forward.

Landon Donovan seems to have rediscovered his appetite for representing his country. He's playing very well against the inferior Gold Cup opposition. Defensive midfielder Kyle Beckerman has also caught the eye. Oguchi Onyewu finally got a start in central defense and frankly, left something to be desired. How far he has fallen.

France wins the U-20 World Cup against Uruguay. Not a very exciting game, 0-0 to the penalty shootout.

France's keeper saved two. Great name: Areola. I swear 80% of the French team wasn't born in France, they all look like they were born in Africa.

The commentators said that FIFA considers the U-20 to be the second level, behind only the regular World Cup. Huh.

While the ugly spat between Pep and Barca/Vilanova continues, Joe Mourinho is delighted to be away from the stain that is Spanish football politics.

He's refreshed and energized to be coaching players who want to be coached and who play hard for him.

"Until 2 September we will see if anyone can improve our squad, but my focus and ambition is to work with these guys. I can say it's a pleasure to work with them. I was missing this fantastic working relation. Not just for them, but for me. After a week I'm still 'the happy one' because my boys were fantastic."
The word is that the players are also enjoying the relationship. Good vibe for the season ahead.

Aw, I can't answer that. The "greatest of all time" things are impossible! And they're always biased towards more modern players, since we haven't seen the older ones. Chelsea fans voted Zola their greatest of all time, over such luminaries as Peter Osgood, Bobby Tambling and Kerry Dixon. Zola was a wizard. But very few people still alive saw Tambling Play, and not many more saw Osgood.

The easy answer is Pele, because he holds the record for league goals, I think. But they were scored in Brazil, and is he an out-and-ou striker?

Can't be answered!
