Shocks compatibility 2007 to 2010.

I come across cheap pair of new 2007 non-ESA GSA shocks (front and rear). Now I wonder if I can install them on my 2010 GSA with ESA? I understand ESA will not work. Is it possible? Are 2007 shocks fully compatible with 2010 bike?
I just want to have them as backup, warranty will end soon and ESA shocks expensive.

Thanks,
