Mexico otra vez
So I left my truck in snowy Hot Springs Arkansas the morrning of day 2 (12-31-2012) and rode thru too much rain to get to Waco Texas for a totally uneventful New Years Eve. Day 3 I loaded up and got on the bike again in the rain annd crossed the border at Nuevo Laredo. Then made it to Monterrey Mexico just as it got dark. The rain had stopped about mid day but started up again last night. Got on the bike in the pouring rain and tried to make my way through the flooded streets of Monterrey.Probably made it a good 5 or 6 miles before dumping the bike in heavy traffic when I hit a railroad rail running paralell to the traffic. As I was sliding I couldn't believe someone was blowing the horn at me but when I went to pick up the bike I realized it was my horn being pushed by my tank bag. Case guards worked wellI but the windshield and mirror took a hit. I made it only as far as Saltillo today and worked on the bike in my hotel garage out of this constant rain. I kinda suck at this riding thing.
Que bonito es ver llover y no mojarse. Espero que en la manana no hay lluvia porque si hay lluvia voy a quedarme aqui en Saltillo. He lastimado si mismo hay para ver si yo puedo sentir. Perdona me. No hablo bien pero si hablo muy bien con mi mismo. he roto mi moto. |

What are your plans for route 40 between Durango and Mazatlan? Is the new toll road done?

Took the easy route cuz the rain and cold broke me down. I am south of Zacatecas, Zacatecas. Spent some time is sun walking the ruins of La Quemada yesterday.Left Saltillo in a light drizzle @ noon and by one oclock the sun was shining. 54 between saltillo and zacatecas is straight and fast. Gps put the speed at 173kph tops. Can't remember how to post a pic but will try soon.
