By the way Danny, when he called me to tell me he's on his way, he told me the bike looked really nice.

I think you must've washed her between the time when you took the pic you sent me last night (of the handle bars)
and when you loaded the bike up

I heard he always washed her daily. I threatened to throw some dust on his bike one time, but was afraid!!

Pussy!

Mind you, I talk big but frankly, I'd be skeered too. There are some things you just don't do

So, the bike fairy arrived last night around 9pm (NO pun intended bro)

Bike looks good and everything is tight as hell and I even like the little bell
that was hanging underneath the frame :)

Of course, Danny included the sink on this one but, was too damn cheap to include
a couple of screws for my tag so I took a bit of steel wire and wired the tag to the bike.
Is this legal?

By now, I was all sweaty and didn't want to wear my new helmet but I can't find the other one.
Going apeshit till I realized it was in the truck from when I drove around, trying SCOOTERS
a few weeks ago.

(Gonna get one of those napkins for the head before I start wearing the new one)

So, I fire this bad boy/girl up and the sound is sweet. I like it.

I take off and shift into second way too early. It didn't like it. Apparently there's enough juice in this
thing that I can stretch out first gear a little longer.

So, I decide to go to my local gas station that's maybe a mile or so away from my house and lo and
behold, the po po's pull me over.

Apparently I was *ehem* going a "little" too fast.

Well, I'm going to make this story short.

They checked my license, saw the wires on the tag, didn't like the fact that I was going 45 over the speed limit
and promptly cuffed me and hauled me off to jail. Made me park and leave the bike at the gas station but on the side so it was out of the way and this morning when I got bailed out. I got to the gas station and the bike was gone..

So, the moral of the story is:

Put your tag on properly.
Don't ride too fast.
Do NOT mouth off to the cops and..
Make sure you leave your bike where people can see it...

Well, I guess I should be happy that they didn't beat my ass up....

Comments?

The guy at the gas station whom I know snapped these pictures...

Hope you are kidding - if not: best first ride story ever. Hope you get the bike back. Was it impounded?

He cuffed you sitting on the bike and without even letting you take the helmet off?

Like TSLAW said, best first ride story I've ever heard!!

Well, the dude from the gas station came running out and I didn't really want my picture taken (as in showing my face) so I was in the middle of taking it on but stopped and then they just took it from there.

No, it wasn't impounded, I checked with the cops. It was stolen and I had to report it stolen.

Not bad, from the time I got on the bike till they hauled me off, was less than ten minutes so
I think that might be some kind of damn record...

Longest bike ownership...or rather, longest possession...

Wow! 45 over the speed limit in a t-shirt and shorts without knowing much about how the bike handles? I'd say that there was room for things to have gone much worse. Divine intervention may have stepped in and saved you. I do hope you get the bike back though.

2 questions.

1. What was the posted speed limit?

2. Was speeding all they charged you with because if so that's pretty crazy.

And when was the last time you heard of cops allowing someone to walk up and start shaping pictures and get in their space. In the last 2 shots, the person taking the photo would be even closer in near the cop car. This has got to be a joke.

Boys, first of all, I'd like to apologize for the prank but I kinda couldn't help myself.

I initially asked the cops to pose with the bike but of course, then my evil mind started working
and I decided to do something different.

Nope, no ticket, no handcuffs, the bike is not stolen but maybe god's punishing me for the prank
'cause it seems I drained the hell out of the battery and now it won't start (on battery).

I was trying to get them to handcuff me but they wouldn't do it.

So, I'm sure some will think I'm a dickhead but that's ok, I'll take that.

As for the shorts and t shirt, long story but to shorten it down, I can't find anything in my size (so far).
