7th(!) annual NYC-area ADV winter party

It's that time of year again.

IMS Javits show weekend

It was fun the first time, even better the second... the third was off the hook (and more here)... the fourth, fugettaboutit... the fifth (was that John Ryan?) The sixth with guest celebrities, even. It would seem we've started a tradition. Yes, it's been seven years running.

Saturday January 19th, 5pm - until the food & booze runs out.

Again, at The AdventureLoft™ ...keeping it simple seems to have worked well in the past: We'll supply some seed booze, wine & beer and snacks, y'all bring a 6 pack, or bottle, or snacks or something; we'll have some meat-food & veggie-food for eats. It'll be a big batch of chili, and plenty of corn bread.

We'll shoot some pool, shoot some shit, but be clear, this is NOT a group ride... NO racing (does anyone even still remember this reference? Perry?). There WILL be drinking.

We're on Broadway (<-- GoogleMaps link) between Bleecker and Bond. Easy access with public transportation; the nearest subway (<--Subway map link) stops are the B'way/Lafayette on the Orange lines (BDFV), or Bleecker stop on the Green line (6). From Javits, walk to 34th & 8th ave, take the blue line (ACE) from Penn Station towards downtown to the W 4th st stop, switch to the Orange line (BDF or V, again, direction downtown) one more stop to B'way/Lafayette. Walk 1.5 blocks N on Broadway.

Decent street parking on Bond St. between Broadway and Lafayette, or on Mercer between w. 4th and Bleecker... plenty of pay-lots within 2-3 blocks.

Yer welcome to bring SO's and even kids (we can plant them in the back and fire up "Speed Racer" (the original cartoon series -- not the lame-ass movie, "On Any Sunday" or something else)

Post up on this thread if you're planning on coming so we can estimate what kind of supplies we'll need to get the party going. Shoot a PM if you have sensitive questions (Yes, Ethan, the bacon in the chili will be totally kosher

Oh yeah... before anyone asks, someone's already got the couch claimed. My dad's visiting again for the weekend from Chicago... And oh, by the way, he still doesn't know LDF and I ride motorcycles, so we'd appreciate it if no one mentioned that to him.

Awesome...I love this party--thank you so much for hosting.

There have been a few years where the spirit was on the mend--and this group was wonderful--great friends and open arms found there.

Also invited a fantastic couple I met in MO who had organized a GS ride for us ladies while at the rally. I'm looking forward to you guys meeting.

I don't know if we can live up to Fantastic! Haha. But we have heard wonderful things about the party and the host and hostess! Looking forward to it!
