Looking for a R1200GS tire in Mexico City
Hoping to tap the collective intel of this forum to locate a suitable tire in DF for my '12 GSA.
I'm currently in Mexico City on my way south and need to replace my rear tire (150/70R17). I had arranged through a friend to have a replacement tire put on this morning at Lerma Motors. Totally my fault for not being specific or checking in advance, but I assumed the dealership would have either an Anakee 2 (my stock tire) or a Tourance/Tourance EXP (which seems to be the stock GSA tire here in MX); this was not to be. I had Lerma do some other work today which went great, but then they rolled out a Metzler Roadtec Z6. I'm not too familiar with the Z6 other than through some quick Google searching, but it seems like a fully street-oriented tire and I'm not even sure it's made anymore (the tire looked like it had been sitting for a while). In any event, this is a long way to say I'm looking for either an Anakee 2, ideally, or a Metzler Tourance anywhere in Mexico City. Any suggestions would be incredibly helpful. Thanks very much, Matt |

These guys have the best selection I've seen so far. I've never been to their shop, but I've mail ordered from them. They say they have anakee 2s in your size. They have tourances, but not 150s.

Moto Mundo should have that size and they have several stores around the city. If you need help send me a PM and we can work something out.

Thanks Guys, much appreciated. With some calls I was able to get an Anakee 2 delivered to München Motors in Santa Fe for Monday.
Thanks again, Matt |

Munchen?
Check every last nut and bolt they might have touched before you ride away. ![]() Take your time, look over your bike very carefully, you are paying the bill so they have to wait. |

+1. Sounds like you have some experience with this Mike. $15/hour shop charges doesn't buy much pride in workmanship.
