Pivot Pinion Cover

Been looking for a pivot cover for my GS, just can't seem to find something I fancy. Seen that one outfit offer a black or silver plastic unit which sells for about $20 which just clips in. Looks like with a bit of riding it would pop right out? Anyone got one of those, if so, would you use the same again, or rather go for something made from aluminium with a fastener to keep in place?
If I was back home I'd machine something myself, but I'm in Dubai and the choices are limited to mostly buying in from the States. Appreciate any feedback.Thank you.

Are you referring to the OE black plastic cap that covers the pivot on the Telelever where it attaches to the engine?

I lost one soon after I bought my bike new. The dealer gave me a new one which I attached with a dab of RTV.
