I own one, trust me, it has a carb. The choke is on the carb body, you reach down to pull/push it.

There are efi models of the klx250s, some called d-tracker, I don't think they sell them in the states but there are some around. He most likely is just wrong but if it is the efi version you'd have a rare bike around the USA :)

Still says its FI lol. I'm confused, i know he knows a lot about bikes because he has a lot of them and he even told me in a 5 paragraph email how to prepare a EFI engine to sit for months and other stuff like that. Don't i see a carb right there?

Walk away. Like the adage says, "buy the seller".

Maybe he's on a high carb diet?!?! With all joking aside... it doesn't sound like he's touched this bike if he thinks its efi also, that bike looks like it has more than 300 miles on it... or he's just never cleaned it. Looks like someone has tried to fix the head cover gasket leak from the looks of the rtv around the head.. but there is still brown at the back corner, maybe from oil or just dirt build up?

I have an 09 klx 250sf I keep in a garage in Florida for when I visit. It has 1100 miles on it. That picture of the bike looks more like a bike with a lot of miles with an odometer switched out 300 miles ago.

The rest of the bike looks extremely clean. I'm now unsure though.

What's with all the corrosion on the hose clamps? How about the pipe, that don't look too good either.
Something is screwy, i'd walk. Lots of fish in the ocean. |
