If that's the traditional name for it so be it. Sounds like an urban definition to me.

I just ride bikes...

Possibly. It was for me when I did it 30 years ago anyway.

To ride somewhere different to the norm... whether it is dirt, tar, snow, sand... is an adventure to me, or else it is just a commute.

All good

Call it whatever makes you smile.
We just did 3000km 2-up, camping every night. First big ride for the Mrs.
2 days of riding 40degC and higher near Esperance (46 through Munglinup).
Then cold and raining through Walpole to Manjimup.
Dodged snakes, rabbits, roos, fourbies.
Adventure? Maybe more for her than me, but all good.

It's only an Adventure ride if you meet Peter Pan at the end!

By your definition then, virtually ALL motorcycle riding in NSW is "Adventure Riding", because virtually all the roads are like the one in the picture.

Holy crap man!
How the hell did you get a 'Busa tyre to last that long!

Onya. Sounds like a bloody good ride.
Bet you wake up in the morning, sit at the table with a coffee and toast, and think,
"Fuck it. Lets ride back".

The tyre shredded @6500 kms.luckily I had sourced a 2 nd hand tyre at Katherine as there were none available anywhere.
Rode 300 kms at night after weather cooled with metal belts showing to change tyre and get home.
Am taking the busa for a quick spin around the world one if these days.its a bike that's made to be ridden!

I rode my Guzzi LeMans II around Australia in 1982, clip-ons and all. There were a fair few dirt sections and night rides that I definitely classed as "adventure" at the time. Still do now.

Life's an adventure.

Oh - and I clearly remember seeing more than a few Suzuki Katanas doing likewise back in the day.

Love this thread ... adventurers here for sure...
