Well I've bent and beat into submission my stock bars a few times now and I think they're starting to just feel generally crooked So I wanna get some new bars, and I'd like to stick with 7/8. Has anyone gotten a set of aftermarket ones that have roughly the same dimensions as the stock bars? If so, what did you get?

Talked to the local BMW shop, apparently the Pro Taper SE with a Carmichael bend is pretty close, so I ordered it. On sale at motorcycle-superstore for $63 and free shipping, no less We shall see how it turns out...

I have pro tapers on another woods bike. While they were a good get for the money, they sure seem to be rusting at the first drop of moisture. I think on a high-end bike, you might not appreciate that "built in feature".

That's odd. I've had Pro Tapers on several other bikes but never saw any rust. Then again I tend to get the black ones.

The Renthal "Desert/Vintage/High" 7/8 bar is nearly identical to the stock F650GS bar.

Thanks for the tip! Will take a look at those if the Pro Taper doesn't work out for some reason.
