Cry Lost a freind

It's strange in my business that we work with so many people, and it may be months since you worked with someone, but you become good freinds anyway. Not like you work with them everyday, but still they become important, and when you see them it's great. You share things that just are not common to everyone. So I have flown with Jeff over the last 25 or so yrs many times. We first met when he was first hired in 1988 or 89. He was a boeing 727 Second Officer, and I was the First Officer. We shared commuter crash pads in Houston. Then we flew the Boeing 777 out of Newark together many times over a 10 yr period that i was on that plane. We had Layovers in places like TelAviv, Hong Kong, and New Delhi. We shared many laughs together, and a few beers.Turned the lights down to see the meteroirs over the Atlantic. Watched 2 sunrises over the northpole in one day, jumped in the Jordan River to be baptised, and kept each other awake on 15 hr redeyes. We both like to hunt, and always wanted to get to hunt together, but never could make our schedules workout. Jeff was one of those very pleasant guys who you always looked forward to seeing. A very competant Aviator, one who you knew, no matter what happened over some third world corner of the globe, in the middle of the night, you had someone with you that you could count on, 100%. "He always had your back". Jeff cought a bug on a Mubai trip. Nothing bad, just a slight sore throat. a few days later, in the middle of the night, he suddenly couldn't breath. By the time Paramedics got there, it was too late. Jeff was in his early 50's, and very heathy, looking forward to a Capt upgrade, and the near future. Now he's gone. They say "live every day like it's your last, you never know". Tomorrow is Saturday, make it a good one, do something special, call someone youve been thinking about, just to say hi. Jeff's gone, and those of us that knew him will miss him.

Sorry to hear, but glad you have good memories to reflect on.

2012 was a rough year. I lost four friends. Really hoping 2013 goes better.

Ride while you can

The older we get the more we have a higher count of buds leaving, than we of earning new ones.

Won't be long til we are one of those, that some one else will leave a little note here about us.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Sounds like Jeff was a great guy....and one I'd want in the cockpit of any plane I was on. Sounds like you too would be the kind of pilot I'd want.

May your memories of all the time you guys spent together, and the cool and unique things you experienced, help comfort you during this time.

I'll be doing some stuff with my son today and will keep you words in mind.

RIP Jeff.

Sorry to hear about your friend Norm. I too have lost a few friends in our business and while not easy to understand, it does make me appreciate my friends, family and my time here on this planet.

Sorry to read of this, Friend Norm. It's always difficult to lose a friend, or a relative. I've been to a few too many funerals lately.

Rest in Peace, Jeff. Perhaps our mutual friend Norm will introduce us, when the time comes. I'd be most honored.

RIP
Sorry for your loss.
I have always tried to live every day like it was my last, then about 30 years ago I was in a head on collision and had a out of body experience, I remember hearing the paramedic saying " he's back". After that day I took living to a new level and never looked backed.

Very sorry to hear this, especially since I just left India and the smoke and stench were as bad as I have ever seen it.
Thanks for the heads up.

Sorry for your loss Norm.

I lost a dear friend of 30 years this past July 5th. I think of him all the time and reflect on how short life really is.
