I had to move the photo of Heinz Kegler's works 1962 Daytona 88 into this thread. One of three built in the race shop and sent over to compete the 1962 season in the USA. Heinz was the head of Norton distributor Berliner's Norton racing program from 1963 onwards. He took care of this bike and kept it ready to race for 46 years, even though it's last real competition was in 1972. RIP.

This is Heinz(in cowboy hat) with his bike, his rider George Rockett and friend Tom DeMange at Daytona in 1967.

Heinz bike at some unknown track circa 1965:

Heinz, the Hayes brothers and Mr. Berliner at Laconia in 1963 after winning on one of the three 62' Daytona 88 bikes.

A real gem! Ah the 70's... lots of cigarrettes, sideburns and scruffy hair!

I remember these Posters in the local Bike shop. A row of new Commandos along one wall and a row of Bonnies along the other. Despite being new they all had oily drip trays underneath

FANTASTIC!
I'd be eager to see any other photos of this bike that you can dig up!

A friend's '66 Norton Atlas. He's got one in bone-stock condition, and this one in racer trim.

I also just met someone that used to race a Norton Manx. He's still got a collection of Nortons and the Manx is supposedly sitting in his office. Hoping to visit for an interview and pictures.
