EICMA 2013: Husqvarna 701 prototype
A so-called “glimpse into the future” for the brand, in the form of a supermoto bike powered by a big 690cc single

Husqvarna has unveiled a prototype Husqvarna 701 supermoto bike at the EICMA international motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.

The concept sets a tone “that future Husqvarnas will follow” where the surfaces of the bodywork are “understated, focusing on simplicity”.

Technically, the Husqvarna 701 has a 690cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, which produces 75hp. It is harnessed within a lightweight Chromoly steel trellis frame and suspended by the latest WP fork and shock technology. It has the latest Brembo radial brakes.

Someone forgot to put the front mudguard on but apart from that it looks like a Kato 690 frame & Engine.

I want the dual sport version of that!
690 single providing 75 hp without all the extra pig weight of a twin.

Damn that is one ugly bike
Last time I saw something that ugly, little kids were trying to pin a tail on it.
