Lost Vario left side bag this morning...

I got off the bike at my office and turned to put bike up on the centerstand.....and.....holykrap....the side bag is gone!!!! Just frickin gone !!!! WTF!!!!!

I got back on and re-traced my way back up 10 miles of urban cityscape looking for it all the way back to my house and then back again. Not a sign, not a clue, nothing.

For starters, I feel like the biggest idiot since dumb and dumber. But, I remember putting the bag on this morning before the ride and the front latch was good, the top (red) latch was good ( I thought). What could I have done wrong?!

I wasn't hauling butt toooo fast coming to the office, hit a few major whoop de doos....

Lord, I hate this feeling of throwing $500 down the drain. Sh__t !!!

38. HOW CAN I KEEP MY VARIOS FROM FALLING OFF?

read this one, as well.

You've now joined a very undiscriminating group of inmates who have suffered the same $500 loss.

I may be Member #1...but I could be wrong.

BTW...you can probably find a USED replacement for about $200 here at ADV...start looking.

That sucks man.

My dumb and dumber move was on my RT. I had been fiddling with something and put the side panel back on the right hand side...headed out for lunch, got there and NO side panel, must have not got that stupid quarter turn fastener on right....sucked, but it only cost me $80 new...not $500

Best wishes though...someone probably saw it laying on the road and picked it up thinking it was a jewel case.

If you ride with your cases LOCKED...make sure you put an ID tag on the OUTSIDE of the case.

That way...if/when lost... finder can contact you without having to OPEN the case.

Putting your info INSIDE the case...like I used to do...renders your case useless to finders.

They'll DESTROY your case trying to OPEN.

Where did you lose it?
I always keep a sharp eye out if I travel the same road when I see a post like this.

Lost mine between Palmer Lake and Monument, CO in the event you're out for a ride...a little way from home.

If you find it...it'll be LOCKED...so call me...I have the key!
