Baja 1000 2012 I need a ride
I thought I throw this out there, My intent for the Baja 1000 this year was to help a guy solo the Baja 1000 through chase and support down the peninsula, unfortunately he fracture his wrist last weekend training and I’m not sure if he’s going to be heal up enough to race the 1000 this year, if he can’t make the race, I will be looking to see if some team needs a rider for a leg for the 1000. Here’s my street cred. I raced the RMEC enduro circuit for 20+ years, some desert racing, ARMA , tons and years of trail riding, years of Hare scramble series, one Baja 500 (didn’t go so well) and 1 Baja 1000 in 2010, I soloed it and completed the race, years of Baja riding, I work out daily and ride often, My age is 50 and my speed respectable. I feel I can hang with the 40 year olds respectably but the thirty years old, I might get my ass handed to me. If anyone or team is looking for a rider PM me
Thanks Dave |

What bone did he break? I fractured my radius and tried to do a 150 mile race 5 weeks later with it hurt like hell.

looking for help in 2013
Your resume of riding experience is impressive. Mine...not so much. I raced motocross and rode competitive trials a long long time ago. Since then very little riding. I am turning 50 in March/2013 and have always had a desire to ride the Baja 1000 solo. So I will ride the 2013 race. I went to the race in 2012 to see what it was all about. I rode with a chase crew and decided I would give it a go in 2013. My physical conditioning is excellent. I just lack seat time and Baja knowledge. I am looking for a support crew/person. Let me know if you are interested.
