990R yes / no...?

Right, been offered a deal on a new, unregistered 990 Adv R with heated grips and crash bars for 9100, must be one of the last if not THE very last one in the UK......

Do I wait and see what the 1190 is all about or is this too good a deal to pass up.................................?

Your opinions...........

Since you're asking ... I'd say wait. Hopefully you have another bike to ride in the mean time

IMHO you're better off riding the 990R for a couple of years while the other lemmings are beta testing the new bike. Since it took KTM 2-3 years to get both the 950 and the 990 dialed in, a 2015 1190 would logically be the bike to get if you still want one.

Edit: Good decision!

No offence, but a bit of a silly question?

One is a do it all machine to, well, do it all.

The other is a competitor for a Duc MS 1200 or such like, with a raft of lovely electronic goodies.

Not bashing either bike, but they are VERY different.

So it depends what you are going to ride, simple as that. Over 50% dirt = 990. Over 50% road = 1190. Plus how do you ride? Redline it all the time? Want 150 bhp?

A good decision to have, but you asked the question wrong! :)

Personally, I love my 990 R, but I have 9 points and so 150bhp is not that great for me....
