I'm not much of a fan of the clone/knock-off Nomad-rider stuff but they had traction because (IMO) the GL stuff is overpriced (even for made in USA). With this new product it seems there going in even more of the wrong direction. The Orliebs are $200. Hard to see how you can justify that price difference. Just my $0.02 crazybrit screwed with this post 01-09-2013 at 03:24 PM |

I have the ortliebs as well. It's for a different market plus you need some kind of racks. I am not arguing about the price point. I was just answering the initial question

But I am not familier with these anyhow. I can only attest of the quality and easy of use of the GL that I have been using.

I have a Coyote and a Mojavi. Good quality indeed and functionally excellent also. I did wear a hole through the underside of my Coyote on the TAT because I also had a PMB rear-rack, but that's not the fault of GL. You may well be correct on the rack adapter bit. So you have a pre-release of the GL Siskiyou bag?

I think the best option for soft bags out there are the Walter Colebatch designed Magadan Panniers!
![]() http://www.adventure-spec.com/defaul...-panniers.html I have Ortliebs that I use on my DR650 but they don't fit on the KTM racks.

I have the GL great basin and i don't think riding 2 up would be feasible for more that a short trip to the store, unless you are lilliputian. It is a nice bag though.
