I saw this on the highway today...
I didn't know Magpul was located in Erie!
You can see a man's shoulder height on the right edge of the picture for size reference. And he was doing 65 on the highway no problem it seemed. WOW

While on one of the backcountry dirt sections in Big Bend National Park last month, I came upon a Man truck camper that looks a little like that rig in the pic...maybe a little bigger. It was as big as one of those Dakar racing trucks, and it was really impressive. They were camped way out back in one of the primitive sites near the Rio Grande river.

Magpul Unimog
Unimogs are pretty cool. Seems logical that a company like Magpul would convert one into a company car.

Couch Offroad did make this truck. They're actually located just north of me. I realized that given the location and direction of where this truck was headed, he had probably just visited Couch and was going back to Erie. Given how close Magpul and Couch are I bet he does the periodic maintenance on the truck.
Magpul even sponsored a similar truck for Couch to take to the Breslau Rally race in the last year or two. They stuck a 24v Cummins in it...talk about a dream of mine! YouTube "truck trials" to see how awesome the Europeans are. The only we have that seems to even compare to their Tatra trials trucks are rock-crawler buggies like what Poison Spyder Customs was doing in Denver a few years ago before they closed their doors. Another awesome version of Euro offroading is called the Ladoga Trophy. YouTube it, it seems tougher than the Breslau as far as the terrain...nothing but mud and water. |

Those tires would be seriously scary on the road, and illegal, other than that it would be fun to drive. Bet it cost as much as my house too.

Well, you wont be seeing that in CO any longer if HB1224 passes.
![]() http://www.facebook.com/magpul Per Magpul... "Leadership team is at the Capitol again today, holding the line. Regardless of a manufacturing exemption or not, if HB1224 passes, we have to go. We can't disappoint our customers nor ignore our convictions. Anyone who votes in favor of this bill votes to drive over 600 jobs out of CO. We'll have some contact information for some further assistance coming up soon." |

Yep, if the dems push this through, it will be their downfall. Sad to think they (the politicians) are spending so much time accomplishing absolutely nothing.

I don't think they'll be headed to Missouri (aka misery)
Here are some additional provisions found in the gun control bill: (1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri; So essentially the law would turn a law-abiding gun owner today, into a felon tomorrow. State Reps. Rory Ellinger (D-86) and Jill Schupp (D-88) reportedly introduced the anti-gun legislation, House Bill 545, this week. |

We use the Unimogs at work for IED training and general soviet area boondocking (why would germany make a Unimog in a country where there are no dirt roads), very universal Trucks. As for the political end of things in a country where we elevate the incompentent and corupt to the highest levels of power and villifying the most productive, Ce'Est John Gault? See you in Colorado
