Chris, would you please not mention to the wonderful F800 that I'm seeing someone else at the same time

And I will be taking it out for a long spin… just the two of us (clean or not after your trip )

Hi folks, sorry for starting a thread then not posting for 3 weeks.

I've been in bush in SW Tassie, using the legs to get around No internet down there, no walking tracks either ... phew! Just stunning scenery, a heap of rubbish washed up on beaches and a few Sea Spurge, until we weeded them out. Oh and did I mention the scenery, simply stunning.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to catching up with you lot, old friends and new girls who want to come along.

Yeah Grumpy, March is looking like a solid riding month, bring it on.
Some where in there I have to help the fella finish building our house. We are supposed to have it done by Easter.

Stars Align

Hi Everyone

Well the stars align and I made it to Chix 1 and now 6. Well if the Husky was going to go without me I think the XCountry would have serious words with me!!

Hmm, I wouldn't mind riding the 800 I'm seriously wondering if I could just have a little more power. I've got an idea let's ride all the bikes (well those I can touch the ground on).

Dorthe: Husky is excited about being taken out for some serious riding.

Oh, and if you are interested the week before Easter (23rd March) we will be in Tassie for the Cancer ride and some serious kms on dirt around the pretty island. I think Miss Jane mentioned something about scenery was okay down there.

Don't panic!

Miss Helda understands.

She has been stood up, and fallen over before

I'm off tomorrow afternoon heading to Canberra via Beet's and Trish's, for a funeral. Staying with Dennis and Layly, will spend a couple of days visiting the War Museum. Was going to go up to Qld to visit RTO and Judy, but given the current conditions, will pass.

After Kaurah, back home for a service and new rear tyre, ready for your arrival.

All is well

G'day Mc Snorealot,
Whilst in Canberra, you may come across a couple of French mates (Francis & Clair - father & daughter) on my old R90/6. If so, look after them. Reckon they'll be over-nighting at Queanbeyan C/P tonight (31/1).
Cheers,
GOB

Might have to give this one a miss.

You girls have fun.

Hey no, no, no Canary, you can't miss it.

We are not hardcore and it's not serious dirt.

The only bit of dirt where you might feel uncomfortable is the steep and twisty Goldy Spur Track, but you can go around that bit on the tar. The rest of the dirt is relatively flat and easy, 2 wheel drive in the dry.

So don't let the dirt put you off, you know we stick together and the important bit is the coffee, cakes and laughs.

CAKE CAKE CAKE. So are we actually going? Hmmm, steep, don't like downhill me. But if you bribe me with cake I will consider it

Chant Chant Chant Cake Chocolate Cake Chocolate Cake Chocolate.

Does this mean we have to do a dance around the pretend campfire. Just conscious that the state is on fire at the moment.

This weekend is to be the recci ride.

I'll go find some fun dirt in picturesque settings for us to ride girls.

However, I need to check out the parks website for fire information before I leave home. It's been a warm week and gee it's dry.

I was supposed to be heading to the Buckland River Valley this morning, with the intention of camping over night.

However, due to the Harrietville fire still blazing, I'm doing a day trip tomorrow to check out the area between Seymour and Merton. I haven't been through there, but I've worked out a route that I think will be suitable.

Unfortunately this route will miss Yea, and Marmalades. This is a really big shame as they do excellent breakfasts, coffee and cake. But there is always the trip home.
