so stupid pumped for this. my place du emploi has some other folks with viable preorders, and we're gonna gather in one of the bigger campus parking lots/garages for a little hoonin' and hooliganin' in late august (hopefully)

maybe i'll finally learn how to do a proper (intentional) wheelie!

Now it's been a couple of days since my test ride, I still feel like buying one. I had a chance to test ride the CB500X and even though I enjoyed it, I wouldn't buy one. It felt like a softer underpowered Versys. The wife and I are going to Paris for the weekend and then I will get to ride my brother's R1200GS for a few days. It will be interesting to ride a full size motorcycle after riding the Grom.

I think the Grom is going to make a pretty big splash when it goes on sale. After seeing the red, yellow, and white, I must say I really like the white one. But I will probably buy a black one.

Slightly partially related. Motortrend's Roadkill episode today included some old honda Trail 70s.

I heard from my dealer today. The first two (mine) are supposed to ship 8/28. Get here 3-4 days later. He has a long waiting list for the third but no ship date.

I wanted to make sure I always had another Grommer to ride with. Think I'll have any trouble finding volunteers?

I thought so. The pegs actually don't look bad, but the bars are way to low for a big guy. Notice how far forward the rider is leaning. My shoulders definitely couldn't handle that.

Full face helmet, shorts and a T shirt. At least it's a cool looking T shirt.

That Roadkill video was great. That truck is my kind of vehicle (4 wheels) Lots of personality, character, and soul. And a four barrel to top it off. Those Mini Trails would be great for riders about half the size of those guys.

is that an extended swingarm or just extenders on the stock swingarm? that bike isn't stock which makes me wonder who the owner is, i know aftermarket companies will get bikes early for R&D so maybe one of them was doing some testing
those must be the new kevlar socks and shorts.

EDIT:
quick google searched turned up that the owner is ComposiMo Fabrication

Swing arm is stock on that bike. The guy on the bike is the owner of ComposiMo.The bike is sporting their fender elim kit and from that angle it makes the swing arm look extended.
