Nice to see such an Epic ride on DRZ's. I just picked up an '07 E model that I want to do some trips on.

Ya a couple of gallons of gas and a motor, what else does a person need, these guys show how true that is,and what a bulletproof bike a DRZ is.

Hey Jon,

Pleasure to meet you and your wife. You need to brush off those cobwebs and get that Bimmer on the long highway that leads to nowhere. We have definitely been up to some stuff since Potosi. Internet seems to be going to shambles so I'll post what I can. Safe Travels!

I did not know that you could make it all the way to Brazil from there. We didn't even make it to Coroico. That trip will have to wait. Not enough money (or a visa) to go to Brazil.

The road was truly epic. Just like the Discover Channel portrays it but less traffic these days.

You got me! Thought we had them fooled. The "Propina" statement seems to be working just fine though.

Well Hot Damn! I forget he took those photos.....and then went and made me famous! Thanks Don, I'll pick up the endorsement check when i get back into town.

Glad you're still around PDX. You speaking fluently yet? I'm sure someone in P-town has given you an "opportunity" to practice.

She has definitely aged....or matured.....or something. I gave her a serious beating today and she just turned cheek and asked for more.

Good for you. Might not be the most comfortable bike but there are a lot of qualities that make this a fantastic long distance off-road machine. Have fun with it.

Lucky you live in one of those "Cooler" states that lets you plate anything.

Short drive to Oruro today. This is simply a place to stop so that we don’t have to drive all the way to Potosi in a single sitting.

The town was very nice. It is known for the dance of the devil festivities and thus has tons of artwork and sculptures all over town depicting the “Diablo” in different forms. Cool town nestled at 12,500 feet. The ride here was absolutely boring….120 miles of high altitude plains with little to see. Terrible highway with tons of gravel detours extended the time considerably.
