Air Freight to Austria
Looking for some recent experience with getting a bike out of Toronto to Austria. Airfreight preferred.
Thanks! PayDirt |

I have no experience of it actually happening. But I called Air Canada freight and it seemed like a very straight forward thing. There was a couple of requirements that AC required, nothing fantasy, certain amount of fuel, certain things disconnected etc. The said they would look after paper work but suggest I use a freight forwarder.

Check KNOPF Tours, their website lists Air Transport and they have a shipping container going from Orlando to Heidelberg every March, which would get you close to Austria. http://www.knopftours.com/Web-Site/Transport.html

I paid $2000 US to fly from Calgary to London. Used Motorcycle Express as forwarder and Air Transat as carrier. Pretty sure that was the price from anywhere in Canada to anywhere in Europe.

When i contacted them they seemed very good. Gave written quote, and sent paper work for insurance. She said as I am in Canada she could also put my in contact with a travel agency that would get me on the same plane as the bike.
