It should be on one of the papers they gave you, with a big ass check mark next to the word "New" or "Used.

It was supposed to be New-New. Not new to me, used. Carfax stuff was all pretty normal according to my source. Delivered to the dealer. Offered for sale. Washed, tinted (generally prepped). Transferred to the dealer I went through. Then to me.

Fullmonte - funny. They all suck here. My last truck was white and it sucked in summer. These do have light interiors, tint and are supposed to have some kind of UV rejecting glass (found it: High Solar Energy-Absorbing (HSEA) glass).

We'll see.

Well, on the bright side the Tundra is an extremely reliable vehicle. My 5.7l Crewmax was purchased new in 2007 and other than brakes and one warranty issue with a sensor I have had zero problems.

There is one mod you may want to make to improve fuel economy and that involves tying a string from the big toe on your right foot to your nuts

Good to hear another vote of confidence for them.

Nice mod! Have you posted that over on Tundra Solutions? They're always looking for mods for higher fuel economy. That engine is fun. The first couple of times I really got into it was enlightening!

I never expected new not to equal new. We'll see what they do today. It's supposed to be ready to pick up. Of course it is cloudy out today, so....

I had a similar experience with a Ford, the roof of my new car looked like someone had bounced 500 softballs on it! Of course I noticed it the morning after I bought it. Surprise!

It took a bit of legwork and persistence on my part, eventually a visit from a Ford factory rep to make it right.

I reckon you can get it fixed to your satisfaction, but just be prepared to expend some effort and aggressively pursue your claim.

..and I would demand a new truck. If they won't comply I would get ahold of a regional sales manager or rep for Toyota.

My brother is a Toyota salesman in your area and he was driving a black 2012 Tundra for a while. Your new truck doesn't happen to smell like sex and stale farts does it?

Lemon laws typically don't cover any sort of strictly cosmetic issue like paint, but defects that would make the car unsuitable for use or unsafe, and therefore unsellable.
