Jebus, sounds more like attempted murder to me. At least he's going to prison, which, I'm guessing, he's familiar with.

The asshat got off easy.
I contacted the Skagit County Prosecutor when this went down and lobbied for stronger charges. Without public pressure they probably would have plea bargined it down even further. At least some jail time is involved.
