Yup, a totally good time! I went last year and have been planning on attending this year, however, my attention has been leaning towards the Arkansas 500 ride that same weekend. I just don't know if I can work out the logistics for the Arkansas dealio.

We'll see. If I land at the MLR, I'm definitely camping and will have a bit of Fireball with me to warm all who would like to partake.

I'm sure I'll see you there George. I'm still on the fence about whether I want to do the dirty ride or not. ;) I did it on the WR250R last year so maybe this year it will be on ACL's old KLR.

I'm headed to the Moonshine Lunch Run myself. Never been to it, so looking forward to checking it out. Since Sjaak and I were trying to figure out where we could meet up, this has turned out to be a lucky break. We've been plannign to meet up since before he left home to start his record-breaking trip.

Just a heads up, guys: keep an eye on the weather. We have folks stuck in Gillette, WY, more hunkered down in NM. Mac 'n Carole will arrive today in their RV but have spent 3 days getting blown around. New from Kansas looks nasty for tonight. More folks coming from the N.E. are looking at scary weather too.

I'm leaving tomorrow, hope to arrive Thursday late, 2000 miles going the southern route to avoid low temps and most of the potential rain.

The weekend weather for Casey/Moonshine looks cool but otherwise okay.

Hope to see a 1000 of my best friends on Saturday.

Hello again Indy! I recall talking to you re: your WR250 during the break at the dive-bar we stopped at. Would be a good place to land for a whole series of beer/drinks...I digress.

Anyhow, I was on the red Wee and at the time I had a WR400, unfortunately I sold it late last summer...BIG MISTAKE! Anyhow, maybe we'll cross paths in Casey.

The event is on, hard to say how many will show up. I'll be there unless I get stuck by by weather: Kingman, Flagstaff, AlbuQQ, Amarillo, OK City, St. Louis, Casey. Hope to arrive later on Friday in time to be at Richard's Farm.

So you going to be on the Wee again this year? Here is a pic of my WR290R. I put a big bore kit on it!

There is just NO WAY a KTM will make this ride.
The water crossings require a superior machine such as a KLR.
In the KTM owners manual it says do not cross water deeper than 10mm.

Oh I think it will cross some water, lets not be wishing anything bad on us now Doug!!

Actually Ive yet to ride it without rain coming down or high water!!

My KLR still has last August Colorado mud on it. So if its real wet its coming to get washed.

And Bone's, Rough road leaves at 830 IL time Be there or be Square!!
Im looking forward to seeing how your KLR has morphed yet again

Looks like better weather this year than last. I was glad I had my cheater bike last year in that monsoon! Those guys on big ADV bikes have my respect.

The plan is to leave tomorrow and camp at Terry's farm. Mama, my wife, is fighting cancer again and I am either pulling the trigger and leaving tomorrow for the Run if she is feeling pretty decent, or staying with Mama! She has been feeling pretty good and I have been looking forward to making the Run again this year. My wife and I will decide tomorrow am.

I hope to see everyone there...which means Mama is feeling pretty good!

Also, the "dirty" ride will be interesting for me this year, as I will be getting new tires when I get back....slip, slide and ride....I don't really mind too much if I drop it....that's why I bought a Suzuki that I can afford to mess up at times! I remember that first hill by the dirt track....OMG...that was slick as snot...no matter what bike you had!
