i'd say this is a place you bring your wife when on tour, not the dudes in your group.

You can if you want! But there is a loft with another single mattress, floor space and room for several tents in the yard. Lots of options.

out of curiosity, for anyone who travels this way, how do you usually find lodging? and is this something you look for? It does look like a nice cottage, though I'm not sure of its appeal for motorcyclists in particular.

Good question. The appeal is the location. Ridgway is at the crossroads of at least two of the best pavement loops in the state if not the country. Not to mention all the great high alpine passes and trails for offroaders. We also plan to stock the garage below with some tools and supplies for touring riders to do basic maintenance. You can have tires delivered here waiting for you, do an oil change etc.. If you are two up touring with the lady....well....your probably gonna get some action once she sees that you did'nt book the super 8. If you are solo and want a nice room with a place to park your ride inside, with a friendly lodge owner who can give you any moto route beta you request, there ya go. My dad has been riding for ever, he gets us! If you are a group of 5 dirty dirtbikers who want to sample the best ST in the state, that can be arranged, as long as some are willing to tent it or sleep on the floor. You want to know where the best hikes are? We got that info. Can't get that at the super 8 or any other lodging in the area.

Pretty close, maybe 30'. Its not really an issue. There are no windows on that side, its a quite, layed back neighborhood. Not to say you can't get loud!!
