R.I.P. Monsieur Jean Claude Olivier.
The legendary "patron" of Yamaha Motor France died today.
 Racer, innovator, boss, legend.  http://www.rallye-tenere.net/JCO%20Tribute.htm         He recentrly sold his racing bikes collection just to donate the amount for spine and head injuries investigation.  Good bye patron!!

Just heard it in a by-note during the German coverage of today's Dakar stage. Couldn't and didn't want to believe it until I found it on Ingo Löchert's web-site www.rallye-tenere.net ,too at the end of Jean Claude Olivier's biography. And it's just been a simple accident in traffic.
A very sad day for all followers of desert-rallyeing ... Sad greetings, Hans-Günter 'Bambi' Bambach
