Bulburin National Park sounds good to me too and it doesnt appear to be far from our previous route and canarvon being chockers is also something to think about

have we got anyone coming along who is familiar with Bulburin National Park who's keen to show us around

If you guys are staying at Gaeta, you can slip across to Mungungo to Builyan and out to Bulburin. From there you can go across to the Bruce highway and head to Miriam Vale and work your way back via Blackmans Gap. If you take the Rodky Gully? Rd from Mungungo you can still head out towards Cania and approach Kroombit from the Monto end which will get you to the locked gate, which is still a fun ride. Failing that, you could head out to the Cania road and up thenBurnett highway a bit and start exploring Coomingalah forest via Mt Margaret-Hurdle Gully rd. From there you can basically stay on dirt anywhere to Cracow, Moura, Tarrom, Gayndah , whatever you like? A good second day would be Gaeta to Cracow, if the pub has no room, slip out to Delusion or Ornage weir for the night, or even Nathan Gorge? There are thousands of kms or rads to travel and they will all be shit after the rains, endless places to go!

well gang...

after careful consideration the new plan is to head to carnarvon gorge

so the route i'm looking at will be
dayboro

kilcoy

murgon

hivesville

gayndah

munduberra

taroom

injune

carnarvon np

then back a similar way but i'm sure we could get creative and no doubt we'll change it up on the fly depending on how the group is travelling

it sucks a bit that kroombit's shut however i'm moving up that way in june so i'll be exploring the tracks and next year will be better than ever

the plan is to still meet at dayboro bakery at 8am and jimna fire tower at 930am on good friday then off we go

we'll be bush camping the whole way through and the back up wagon will never be too far away with the cold beer (and spare xr parts)

my spot tracker link is http://share.findmespot.com/shared/f...IvnEt6neRyqpWn for anyone that wants to keep an eye on the shenanigans

i'll start the name count again coz obviously with a change like this not everyone will be into it .. please let me know asap if you still wanna come so i can get organised with food and grog

thanks
derek

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

Sorry fellas, will give this one a miss, too many boring hrs on the highway to meet you somewhere( taroom most likely )and I've been to Carnarnvon during Easter break and it's tooooo busy for my liking and then toooo many boring hrs on the highway to home, myself and jeff4680 went across from taroom to injune years ago and it is a great dirt road with everything thrown in, sand, bull dust, big corrugations and rocky gravely patches too, had a ball on that road.

Not sure what the go is now but there used to be special camping areas in carnarvon and you were not allowed to bush camp and booking in advance was the go so it might be a good idea to ring and check.

If the plan changes over the next week I will reconsider....have fun ya all
