Just got this link from Newner in KLR only pics!! Bummer, I was all in until I saw the date. Dallas Super Cross weekend. I've been looking for a reason to go to Little Sahara. Maybe next time.
My dune weapon of choice, horsepower rules in the dunes. ![]() I try to do it right, I would have brought a warm place for us to "gather". Keep me in mind for the next meet.

WOW... Me and Dirty briefly talked about taking our KLR's out into the dunes when we stopped to look at them this past fall on our botched DB1K.
You guys are nuts! I mean, i don't really care about or rely on my KLR for anything other than centimental value and the random ride. But the dunes are the fastest way to destroy a motorcycle and i'll pass on riding the KLR out there, and deffinatly pass on riding my race bike out there. Take lots of pics though, I remember the fun I had dragging my buddies KLR out of the sand flats below Keystone Dam last spring. I told him not to let off, but next thing I know he is standing next to a bike buried up to the panniers because of doing all the wrong things in the sand LOL |

Cinch up your bloomers and maybe you won't get sand in those panties.I have a feeling that Whitewater Park has nothing on the misery we will be experiencing at the Little Dakar.

There is a company called Skat-Trak that will custom-make a 17" paddle tire. You send the donor tire...

When I used to take my mx bike out to the dunes, I would always put on an old chain and old plastic. The sand eats those up.
